That’s actually the Twitter feed. You can set it to show your latest tweets by checking the “Twitter Feed” box (https://startupwp.com/topic/setting-your-themes-options/#features) and then setting your Twitter username and the number of tweets you want to show underneath (https://startupwp.com/topic/setting-your-themes-options/#social) in your theme options.
For the first issue, link to your site please.
For the second, please see:
Installed, but please note that it is not yet activated.
Just in case you weren’t ready, need to backup or make other preparations first, we didn’t want to activate it for you.
You’ll now find StartupPro under Appearance > Themes where you can activate it when ready.
We’ll be here in the forums if you need further help.
It can be done, but first we need to make sure you’re comfortable with code and child theming, otherwise this might be too advanced even with the instructions laid out for you.
We want what’s best for everyone in the StartupWP community. If you feel that means that the theme won’t work for your needs, no worries. Have a look around for a different premium theme for your project and if you think you’ve found one and you purchased StartupPro in the last 60 days, we’d be happy to give you a refund.
Email sent with the subject “Theme Install”. Make sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see the email.
This is how all WordPress themes work. This isn’t a limitation of StartupPro.
To have two sidebars right across your whole site, you’ll need to setup a child theme:
Are you actually unzipping your download package first on your desktop, as specifically described here (even giving the example of the error you’ll receive if not doing it properly):
https://startupwp.com/topic/installing-your-theme/
In order to get to startuppro.zip – the file you need to install, not the whole package that you downloaded.
No one else has ever had this problem, there might be something wrong with your WP install. If for some reason, you’re still unable to install, would you let us contact you by email to get your login and install the theme for you?
Sorry, no. Page templates are currently for Pages only. We are working on custom Post templates soon though.
When editing a page under Pages, you’ll see a dropdown option under “Page Attributes” called “Template”. Here you can select the two sidebars right template and save.
You’ve read?:

If the text instructions of how to install a theme are not working for you, perhaps visual instructions will help:
(Start it at about 4:15 to get the quick details pertinent to you, unless you’d like to watch the whole video to educate yourself a bit more on installing themes in general.)
(X.X represents the current version number)
So, at the moment the current version is 1.1.1:
StartupPro1.1.1Package(UnzipFirst).zip
When under Appearance > Menus you’ll see “Custom Links” on the left. Here is where you can create a menu item with whatever link and text you like.
Unfortunately, I think we may have run out of ideas.
You should try removing all custom CSS you’ve added temporarily to see if that is what the conflict is for sure in order to help narrow the issues down. Make sure to clear all caches after removing it.
You’re welcome.
Unable to recreate, can we see screenshots of this new/different issue please.
Also, please note that while we’re attempting to help you as a courtesy, IE8 is a very out-dated browser and may simply not be able to “keep up” with a modern website.
In that case, you really do simply need to just create or modify the custom menu under Appearance > Menus:
https://startupwp.com/topic/setting-a-custom-menu/
And manually add a menu item with the text “Home” and the URL set to http://www.somethingaboutflight.com/. No need to create a page named “Home”.
Can we get the live link to your website?
What exact URL would you like the “Home” button to link to, and by “Home” button are you referring to the top site title link “Something About Flight”?
Thanks for the heads up, we’ll fix in the next update.
We’ve just added a doc for this (we’ll continue to add docs as good questions like yours come up), see:
https://startupwp.com/topic/disabling-parent-menu-links-of-dropdowns/
Try simply adding:
nav ul li a:hover{font-size:12px}
It looks like whatever CSS is being used for the lower/footer menu is conflicting with the main menu CSS.
Could you share all your custom CSS (that you added yourself) in a reply or via http://pastebin.com/ and also let us know where you’re placing it.
If you mean a “Home” button as in a normal Home text link item, then you simply need only to create your menu custom under Appearance > Menus:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YcpmfW7xIQ
If, on the other hand, you mean an actual “Home” graphic icon, you’ll need to produce the image and we can help customize with CSS.
or
You could add the following font:
And add the corresponding letter as the Home link text for the home icon, likely “h” or “H”.
In both free and pro this can be easily set within your theme options.
Appearance > Startup(Pro) Options > Check the Box for Custom Styles > Below, You’ll Find “Navigation Menu Background Color” > Set a Color > Save
Where exactly are you adding the CSS? Did you try clearing all caches?
