Apologies, yes. Without the pro version you’ll need to setup a child theme in order to add CSS:
Please read https://startupwp.com/topic/customizing-your-theme/
You don’t need to edit any files, just use the theme options.
.home .entry-title {
display: none;
}Absolutely, use on as many personal or commercial projects as needed, forever. :)
You’re welcome.
Yes.
.entry-meta, .entry-footer{display:none}
If using pro version:
https://startupwp.com/topic/customizing-your-theme/
If using free version:
https://startupwp.com/topic/child-theming/
And if you would also like to disable the actual comment area altogether, see:
https://startupwp.com/topic/removing-comments-from-pages-and-posts/
In the pro version you can add as many custom icons as you like:

Hi Danielle,
You don’t need to repurchase StartupPro, you pay once and you’re in for life. Every future upgrade is available to you without further purchase.
Just resent the receipt/download link. Bookmark this link in your favorite browser and you can download the latest copy from there whenever you need.
Also, in the newer versions we’ve now added an automatic update feature so that you can update your theme right from within your WP admin.
As far as moving your entire WordPress install to a new domain, please see:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
Thank You
You can add any icons you want in the Pro version, see:
Hi emiliosjlc,
Can you be more specific? Link to your site please.
Using free or pro version?
Thank You
This will definitely be a plugin you need in order to add such functionality (so moved to the Plugins forum).
Give this plugin a try:
Slider instructions here:

For future reference, you can find all the how-to instructions here:

Thank You
You should simply be able to upload your banner to the logo area and save:

Hi trotsig,
We’re never anything, but polite and professional, though perhaps more straightforward and honest than most are used to as many companies use other diversions instead of simply giving the straight and honest answer.
This is not beta testing, as explained already, the form is secure and fully functional, though perhaps a bit simple for your needs? The point here is that unless you’re actually receiving spam, you do not have a legitimate complaint that we can look into. You’re raising an issue based on a hypothetical in which you assume there will be a problem based on your misunderstanding of the form, you’re not actually reporting a real current problem of any sort in which we can take action on to “fix”, as nothing is “broken”.
We’re sorry you for some reason feel that the form will not work for your project. If you bought the theme solely for the form and do not like the way the form functions that’s completely understandable, this theme is simply not a good fit for your project in that case and we’ll be happy to refund your order if made within the last 30 days. What’s your PayPal order receipt number?
Also, if you want a form with more advanced and robust, customizable options, we recommend checking out:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7/
The theme’s contact form is meant for those that need one simple contact form. Again, it simply sounds like you’ll need more control than that.
You’re also welcome to suggest that we incorporate a CAPTCHA feature here:
https://startupwp.com/forum/suggestions/
And if a large number of people also want the same thing it’s very likely to be incorporated. Right now, we want to keep things as friendly as possible and CAPTCHAs are very difficult and annoying to many. In our testing the form security is unique and secure against bots, yet still human friendly. Unless that changes, there isn’t anything to address.
Thank You
It’s not a captcha and works differently, if it were a captcha it would be a random code definitely, you are correct. The form should be secure and work perfectly fine. Please let us know if you actually incur an influx of spam getting through. Then, this would be something we would definitely investigate further. Otherwise, there is no issue and nothing is broken or in need of being fixed.
Apologies, it appears to be, the issue is likely with the floats and IE’s comprehension of widths set as percentages. One possible compromise would be the set the content and sidebar areas as fixed-width pixels, basically turning off the responsive (mobile) design. The other option would of course be to stop supporting IE8 on your website.
If neither of those compromises (mind you that when adding hacks to support older browsers, that will always come with certain compromises) and you can no longer use StartupPro, then we would be happy to give you a refund.
Thank You
“Are you human?” questions are different from captchas, they’re a bit friendlier, but should still be secure. Were you just curious or are a large number of spam email actually getting through the form? Also, make sure not to refer to your WP/website comment spam as the two are unrelated.
That’s what’s provided above (
#sidebar{width:29.9%\9}
) – IE6-IE8 specific hack, but, you’re saying it’s not working, is that correct?Could be a specificity issue, might try:
body #sidebar{width:29.9%\9}
See more tricks http://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/browser-specific-hacks/
No problem, refund sent.
Unfortunately, IE8 is about 4 years out-dated. In fact IE8 was the last XP supported version. An operating system that is well over a decade out-dated. StartupWP themes are modern and standards-compliant and require standards-compliant browsers.
We recommend updating your browsers:
Then, if you’re not already using Google Analytics, set it up and you can get insight into the browsers that your visitors are using:
http://www.google.com/analytics/
Here on StartupWP, only 15% of visitors are using IE. Then 80% of those users are using at least IE9+. Web design is constantly moving forward, eventually for the betterment of progress and quality you have to stop supporting old browsers.
Very good to hear.
Definitely one of the more creative designs we’ve seen. Good work.
Here’s what you need:
body #content, body #sidebar {
color: #FFFFFF;
}Note that you did set the body color correctly, however it won’t take precedent over all areas. Some things need more specificity.
Hi combatelaser,
Are there any specific questions we can help answer?
If not, please make your final confirmation that you would like a refund and we’ll take care of that for you.
Thank You
There’s no limitation here. As many widgets as you like can be added. So, assuming you mean the amount per row?
What specifically did you have in mind?
Also, the site looks great, we’d love it if you shared the site with everyone here:
