Sorry– figured it out. Text was white, and not showing.
My fault again– I had a widget controller plugin that kept widgets from displaying on posts.
Here’s one with a sidebar left and right: http://www.nscommunitylinks.ca/new2/seniors-and-gambling/ (The left sidebar is blue, the right is green)
The right sidebar is pushed down below the content area.
Just noticed that when I use Startup Pro as my main theme, I get the alternative of choosing templates with posts– apparently the same templates as those offered with pages. But I was using a child version of Startup Pro and don’t have that ability with posts.
Can I not get post templates with a child version of a theme?
Reply to my post– I think I’ve solved it, or at least got a handle on it and it doesn’t have anything to do with the theme.
thanks anyway
Thanks for the offer. (I presume it would cost money?) I was able to get the menu on the page by copying the ‘nav’ section from the header.php file but it lost some CSS along the way and I couldn’t center it. I’ve decided to work with the Sidebar None template.
Thanks for your help. I didn’t realize I had to uncheck an item in the Options box. Problem solved.
My fault– I found this bit of code in my extra CSS– iframe{ display:none; }
Thanks for your quick response anyway.
Follow up to the above– Iframes do work in the non-pro version of Startup.
I must have been doing something wrong because cropping works fine now. But when I restrict the crop to Thumbnail and then select it as the Featured Image for the post, the featured image is not cropped when I look at the page it appears on.
Thanks for your help. The Add-this plugin worked fine.
