Within the StartUpPro Options page there is are a few sections toward the bottom of the sheet (Custom Styles & Advanced Editing ) that have given me problems.
1. I changed the Maximum Layout Width to800 px by putting 800 in the box. I do not see the result and being any different. How should you adjust the page display while keeping the background in full screen?
2. I wanted to adjust the background of the main navigation menu bar. I put a color choice in the “Navigation Menu Background Color” in the Custom Styles section but I did not see any change from the original black background. What is the best way to adjust the color of the Menu Bar?
3. In the section Advanced Editing section of the page how do you use the different blocks. If you add code in any of those blocks does it just insert additional code to the html page? Back to questions 2 – if you wanted to change the color of the menu bar would you use one of the blocks to add code or would you just modify the css style sheet? Could you please explain the use of the Advanced Editing section with some simple examples of how the page will change by use of the different block entry options.December 4, 2012 at 2:16 PM #308
If you can, please provide a screenshot of how you’re entering all these options.December 4, 2012 at 8:37 PM #310
The goal was to set the size of the page to 800 px. What does “Maximum Layout Width” mean, and how do you set the size of the pages on the site?December 5, 2012 at 5:31 AM #311
With regard to how I am entering these options, this is your page – maybe you could provide an example for each of the three questions. I have not been able to enter the custom contact information. I have tried plain text in the box, I have tried –
<div class="details">123.456.7890 | <a href="mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org">email@example.com</a></div> -
in the box and nothing seems to load. Could you supply a few examples.December 5, 2012 at 5:53 AM #312
I think my problem is that you have to TURN ON with the check boxes the function below. I missed the orientation of the check boxes as switches for the lower functions.December 5, 2012 at 10:28 AM #313
That’s correct. Sorry we did not advise that sooner, did not fully understand the issue.
So, was that the only issue or did you still need help with some of the settings?
Also, for anyone else that has similar issues, please see:
