By default, WordPress post URLs appear as

    http://yoursite.com/?p=123

This is neither human-readable nor SEO-friendly. To resolve this, follow these simple steps:

    1. Log into your WP admin

    2. Navigate to Settings > Permalinks

    3. Set your permalink structure to Post name and save

Your URL slugs will now automatically reflect the post title. Say your post title is “Hello World”, your URL will now appear like so:

    http://yoursite.com/hello-world/
