I have tried everything on your site https://startupwp.com/topic/setting-up-the-slider/ and I have it exactly as described. I was originally having the issue with [nivoslider slug=”slider”] showing up in the slider position. After following the instructions on the site that disappeared. But the slider is still not showing. I followed the recommendation on the setup page “Universal Slider (create a slider under nivo slider options named slider [from the main menu after activating the required plugin] to set – for best results set slider to and prepare images at 1000px wide [or whatever you have set your max display width to] and 200px or more high – all slides need to be consistent in size) “. I even set it up with only one slide, tried 3 slides all the same size 1000×200. Still nothing. I cant seem to find why this is not working. http://www.secpowercorp.com

April 21, 2014 at 2:56 PM #1575The license warning is a bug, please ignore, should be fixed in a future update.
As for the slider, with your permission, we’ll just have to get in there and take a look.

May 9, 2014 at 4:01 PM #1586I have the Pro version and bought the license from Dev7studios for the NivoSlider as well. I switched to other themes and it works in all of them except in StartupPro. When configured for banner display on the front page I get all pictures displayed one above the other. In posts or pages it is blank. Please advice.
May 9, 2014 at 9:03 PM #1587@theoldscientist – Often, this means a jQuery or plugin conflict.
Also, are you using a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache and have you tried deactivating all plugins except for Nivo?
May 10, 2014 at 9:28 AM #1588I will try that but why does it work in any other theme then. It does not sound logical.
May 10, 2014 at 9:42 AM #1589Just deactivated all plugins except Nivo slider and still the same problem. Blank Banner.
May 11, 2014 at 1:37 AM #1592Although you posted in a topic that sounds similar to the issue you’re having, it actually is not. In fact, no one else has reported the problem you’re reporting. The reason this is important is that it narrows down the troubleshooting to there most likely being a specific issue in your setup and not an issue in WP, the theme or the plugin, although that is still possible.
Next, we’ll want to check that everything is up-to-date, WordPress, theme and plugins?
You’ll also want to just double-check the instructions again:
https://startupwp.com/topic/setting-up-the-slider/
If it’s still a no go, at that point, it’ll probably be easiest to get your login info privately by email and then investigate directly. If necessary, do we have permission to request info and access by email?
Thank you.
