    Hi There

    I want to have a summary/ excerpt of my post on the front page with a separate image and separate wording from that of the post. This would ideally be a set size for each summary, with the image on the right and the text aligned on the left.

    I tried selecting Summary in Reading Settings, but that did not work.

    Checkout a plugin like:

    For more control, once you’ve got it about setup how you like give us the link to your site and we can help customize further with CSS.
