How to Join

CLOSED – This project never quite worked out and we’ve decided it would be better for the individual to properly maintain their own translation files than for us to try and do that for you. Both theme’s, Startup (free version) and StartupPro (premium version) are already translation-ready. We’ve now prepared the base .pot language file needed to get the actual translations going. We’ve setup the projects on POEditor, where we can collectively collaborate as a community to prepare, maintain and improve proper translation files.

If you’d like to volunteer, simply reply below and indicate which theme (free or pro or both) you want to help with, and what language(s) you want to help translate them to and we’ll send you an invitation to the email address associated with your StartupWP account.

NOTES

– For quicker translations, you can click Options > Automatic translation > Select Google and always translate from the English file > Then Click Translate. Of course, then you’ll need to manually go through and adjust, improve and fix issues that a computer will always leave behind.

– ␣ represent leading and trailing spaces, make sure to add spaces in the translation where appropriate.

– Please use professional consistency in capitalization and punctuation that matches the original. Don’t use all lower/upper caps.

– The auto translation will often break up codes like %1$s. Just reference the original to see how it should go.

– Once you’ve finished a translation please update us by replying below. We’ll go over it one last time to make sure everything looks good and export the .po and .mo files to the theme and officially push an update to all members.
