Hi,
I have startup pro 2.5.1 and nivo slider 2.4.3. The site look totally messed near the slider.
Slider’s images are 1000 x 300 px, layout width is forced to 1000px via startup pro options ( even without doing this the problem persist ), all plugins are disabled except nivo slider . Problem is present in chrome and firefox.
What happened, how can I fix it ?
If you want I can give you editor access to the site to look at it ( it is currently under construction ).screen: http://imgur.com/db4SfBD

If so, please share the link to your site.
Thank you.
April 9, 2015 at 3:50 AM #2209I think I’ve followed those instructions correctly.
The website’s address is http://www.mrwok.it, but it’s currently under construction. Here are the subscriber’s credentials ( to bypass under construction page ) :

April 10, 2015 at 11:46 AM #2212We’ve investigated and it’s proving to be very difficult to narrow what’s going on and why.
Here are a few follow up questions:
1. Have you edited the theme code in any way, like header.php?
2. Did you previously have other slider plugins installed?
3. Did you ever use a cache plugin at any point?
As you can see in the demo, the slider is still working fine:
The only other thing we could advise to try is to try deactivating all other plugins, but Nivo in case there’s a conflict there.
April 14, 2015 at 1:15 AM #2213- I don’t think so
- no, but I previously created a slider with nivo, then deleted it. There is a way to “purge” any nivo slider setting and reinstall it?
- no
I just tried to deactivate any plugin except nivo slider, I cleared the browser cache, restarted browser, the problem persist.
April 14, 2015 at 8:20 AM #2214I tried to disable nivo slider and uninstall it from plugin list, but when I re-install and re-enable it I see the same slider I created before.
So I tried to use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-reset/ to totally reset wordpress. The old slider was gone, but the issue didn’t.So i tried to install Nivo slider 2.2 from a previous startupwp version. Now it works.
My question now is: what happened and why?note: resetting wordpress has reset also your credentials, ask if you need them.

April 14, 2015 at 11:42 AM #2215Very strange. Unfortunately, this might remain a mystery. We haven’t received any similar reports so it’s likely an isolated issue. At this point all signs seem to point to a possible conflict with the host environment. What are you currently using?
We recommend the same host wordpress.org does:
April 15, 2015 at 12:38 AM #2217hosting is Netsons ( italian hosting, I have 20 sites running wordpress with it ).
As long as nivo slider 2.2 works I’ll keep using it, I have not seen any serious issue until now.April 15, 2015 at 11:01 AM #2218Happy you’ve found a compromise, but sorry we couldn’t solve why you’re having issues with the latest version.
Thanks
April 28, 2015 at 11:21 AM #2232It is not an isolated issue. I had the exact same problem with the same symptoms. To fix it I had to do the same thing, to install the 2.2 version.
April 28, 2015 at 12:04 PM #2233Thanks for the note. We’ll forward this along to the Nivo developers.
November 23, 2015 at 4:15 AM #2622Hi,
I’ve encountered the same problem again.
Startupwp ver 2.5.2, with the nivo slider you provide with this package ( nivo slider 2.4.3 ).
I even tried to upgrade nivo slider but the code you provide in the package seems to be invalid ( as notified in https://startupwp.com/topic/activation-key-for-nivo-slider/ ).
What I need to do ? Do I need to install nivo ver 2.2 in any future installation of startupwp ?Regards

March 2, 2016 at 2:50 AM #2732Hi,
As I said, I’ve had this problem on every startupWP installation I did.
nivo ver 2.2 works, ver 2.4 display a messed-up slider, as you can see in the first post’s screenMarch 2, 2016 at 9:29 AM #2736Alright, hold tight, we’re updating the plugin licenses, including making a whole new slider plugin available in addition to Nivo, plus pushing an update to StartupPro with all the latest versions. We’ll update as soon as that’s ready and thank you for your incredible patience.
March 2, 2016 at 1:42 PM #27402.5.3 is now released with the latest plugin versions and keys.
If you need, we can email you your download link if you’ve forgotten it?
Thank you.
March 18, 2016 at 7:27 AM #2758Hi,
I have 2.5.3 installed, with nivo 2.4.7 and I have the same messed-up slider of one year ago (!).
What should I do, keep installing nivo of 2.0.3 package ?Just tell me, and I will resign.
-_-
edit: at least nivo 2.2 from package 2.0.3 still work.
March 18, 2016 at 1:46 PM #2760Possibly it’s a conflict with your Simple Lightbox plugin. You might try disabling it and then try the latest Nivo slider again. If that is the problem, you’ll want to try a different Lightbox plugin that doesn’t conflict:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=lightbox
If that’s not it, you may have better luck having the Nivo developers take a look:

Hi LucaTechnically we can only offer support if you purchase a license directly from us I’m afraid. You are not covered for support from us by the StartupWP license.

Hi,As shown in this thread ( https://startupwp.com/topic/nivo-slider-messed-up/#post-2760 ), Nivo slider is not working.
I’ve tried to disable _every_ plugin in the site except the under construction plugin ( which is not the problem, checked ), but I’m still having problems ( everything seems messed up ).
I give you some credentials:
address: http://www.xxxx

April 6, 2016 at 4:57 PM #2788Alright, I apologize.
Let us check with them directly and see if we can get any useful insight into the issue.
Thank you.
April 11, 2016 at 5:16 PM #2809They’re still looking into it, will let you know if they find a solution.
April 14, 2016 at 3:30 PM #2818At this point, I don’t want to take up your time, having you waiting for a solution any further. It doesn’t look like we’re going to find a solution for this. Unfortunately, we just can’t solve them all.
